The old photo of Sambhaji Chowk (Bogarves) was being circulated on the internet. Just make a comparison Then and Now.

The exact year of the photograph is also not known.

THEN

OLD SHAMBHAJI CHAOWK
Old Sambhaji Chowk

NOW

new SHAM
Current Sambhaji Chowk

The old building still exists with the clock tower replacing the Police umbrella.

in fact in the early days, this was the end of town with Cantonment starting and this was also a active redlight area of the city. Mention to this effect is also made in P L deshpande's Raosaheb

Good work with the old photo posting.
