Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna in race for Oscar entry

kanmovieKrantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, the mammoth Kannada movie being produced by Belgaumite Anand Appugol under the banner of Sri Sangolli Rayanna Cine Combines is among the 20 films selected for consideration as India’s Oscar entry to the Best Foreign Language Film category. Also Kannada film Lucia is also in the fray.

The films have to meet certain conditions to be considered by FFI. The film must have been commercially released in India between October 1, 2012 and September 30, 2013, and must have run for at least seven consecutive days in a theatre. 

The historical film KSR is the story of the legendary valour of the freedom fighter and the Kittur dynasty on-screen. The film has been produced with a mega budget of Rs.32 crores by Belgaumite Ananad Appugol.

  1. Congratulations to the team. Both the movies are awesome, I watched Lucia over the weekend in Mumbai and the concept & quality is just superb.
