The Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mahamandal has suggested a cap on the height of Ganesh idols to 10 feet. Last year as well the Mahamandal which overlooks the public Ganesh festival in the city had made a similar request.
This time the committee members decided to inform the same well in advance so that all the Ganesh Mandals oblige to the same.
A request was made to the various mandals that money should be spent on social work rather than pandals and huge idols.
Ganesh Idol should be made visible from outside the pendal,so that the senior citizen need have to stand in the long queue.Please give the publicity to the Mandal’s who are really doing the Social Service,what the Mr.Bal Gangadhar Tilak thought when he started this festival.
