24 kgs gold seized at Sambra airport

Unaccounted gold and gold ornaments weighing to the tune of about 23.46 kgs which is worth more than Rs.5,69,80,158 was seized by the security staff at the Sambra airport.

Also a sum of Rs.25,62,480 was recovered to which the three persons carrying the same could not give any documentary evidence of the same as to why they were carrying such cash and gold.
All the three are from Mumbai namely Ashuttosh Dabke, Mahesh Pandey & Jayant B.
The person who was carrying this huge quantity of gold is a Mumbai based businessman.

It may be recalled that on October 7, 2011 Five kgs of unaccounted Gold was seized at the airport only.

    • could be links between newly opened jewelery shops in belgaum and those smuggling gold, some readers had posted such concerns in abb article on some new jewelery shop opened in belgaum by retailers. but seriously who will investigate and put them behind bar as they will all be in powerful position
