Over 700 rooms booked in all Hotels for session in Belgaum

sessionOver 700 rooms in almost all hotels have been booked for the legislature session in Belgaum, scheduled to start on November 25. All books are booked from November 24 for the next 10 days.

Chief minister will stay at the new Circuit house, the Assembly speaker and legislative assembly chairman will be housed at the VTU guest house. All the council of ministers, leader of opposition will be staying in Hotel Eefa as over 50 rooms have been booked there. 101 rooms have been booked in Sanman, 45 at Adarsh Palace, 35 in Shankam for the legislators. Rooms in Kshema Inn and Ramdev have also been booked for the MLC’s. CM’s office staff will be staying in Hotel SaiSangam whereas media persons would be housed in Keerti, Rajpurohit Rajwada and Srinivas residency. 30 rooms in Rakshit, 28 in Rohan Residency, 21 in Srisagar, 38 in Hanuman have been booked for assembly staff. Evene 70 rooms in Anupam have been booked for Legislative council staff. 235 rooms have been reserved for secretariat staff at Pai resorts, Hotel Shiva, Suvarna Mandir, Uday Bhavan, Ajanta Elite, Milan. Accommodation for secretaries, gunmen have been done at KLE boys hostel, Ambedkar Bhavan, KHB housing complex.

The residents of KHB heritage have opposed the plan to accommodate the staff during the session in the vacant flats sighting the nuisance they created last time.

  1. good business for hotels now they should not complain business is dull :). the only problem is if such high profile events become regular the cost of living in bgm will go beyond the roof and these hoteliers will charge like anything from common man.
