This is something very encouraging to read for a Belgaumite and we dont recollect posting any such report in the past 5 years.
The Traffic Police Belgaum has fined an Auto driver because he charged exorbitantly and a complaint regarding the same was posted on the Traffic police Belgaum page.
The complaint said:
Sir,driver of auto number ka-22-9949 was seen this morning 21/1/2013 at 6am at Ramdev hotel fleecing passengers and forcing other auto drivers to follow his diktat as if he is the dada. For example he fixed a charge of rs.40 from ramdev to kle hospital, A DISTANCE OF HARDLY 1KM. This is not fair.
In response to this Traffic Police Belgaum page replied today:
“There was a message of auto driver of Ramdev stand demanding extra fare. He has been inquired , admits to demanding of excess fare and has been fined of RS.800.00.“
This is a very good sign for commuters and now would request each one to post their grievances on the Traffic Police page on Facebook.
The Superintendent of Police himself is handling the Traffic police page. He is accessing the same 3 times day on his mobile. He has booked 4 cases on complaints given on the page by users.
