Belagavi to get its first Dog Park soon?

Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi Nitesh Patil said that a Dog Park will facilitate dog shows, treatment, and adoption of dogs.

A dog park should be constructed in a scientific manner. He said that this will facilitate dog treatment, adoption, exhibition, and other activities.

In this regard, the DC directed the corporation officials to conduct a study of such dog parks in the major cities of the country and formulate a comprehensive plan.

As of now, this is an ideation stage and the civic body authority has to delve into this project.

The dog park will provide different facilities like vaccination to the canine visitors as well as behavioral change activities. People will also be offered the facility of dog adoption.

The dog park in India was first set up in Hyderabad. It has been equipped with amenities like dog training and exercise equipment, two lawns, an amphitheater, a loo cafe, a splash pool, separate enclosures for big and small dogs, and so forth.

Dog parks are where you’ll find hordes of happy dogs. Dogs playing with their canine friends, dogs racing through the grass, just happy to have a chance to really stretch their legs, and even dogs taking a swim if they’re lucky enough to have a park with water available.

Dog parks let dogs socialize with other dogs and get some exercise while they’re at it. Dogs that are well-socialized tend to show less aggression and are more relaxed. Plus fresh air and exercise are key to keeping your dog healthy. You know the old saying, “A tired dog is a happy dog!”.
