  3. Immensely happy to see such mass movement standing for the right cause…..This is lesson not just to one MLA but all MLA’s and MP of Belgaum…though pelting of stones at buses should not have happened…..at the end of day I hope this brings some change in mindset and working of politicians and we get to see some progress…..

  7. Mr.Javli took spy camera with him. he says that he took camera for his protection. 100 of people visit MLA’s office daily when he is in city.I don’t think every one go with spy camera. If he went with camera then there must be something happened well before that day. Anyway if things happened between them why should Belgaumites observe bandh. Its totally political stunt

    • was man-handling of Mr. Javli by MLA the only reason for Belgaum Bandh? For this Reason only Chamber of Commerce & Industries could have lodge the protest, why tens of thousands people from traders, framers, students, corporates, general public came on road against MLA?
Mr. javli’s case is one of the reason for protest and not the only reason.

  10. bandh observed for one person who is unknown for common people. Belgaum population is over 8 lacs. we have lot of genuine problems. The leaders who attended today’s morcha never think about Belgaum people problems. they never raised voice against petrol price hike, deisel price hike, gas shortage, donation at education institutes. exactly what is their intention?

    • INTENTION IS AVOID OR STOP A PERSON WHO IS DOING DEVELOPMENT FOR THE CITY AND GET BENEFITS TO COMMON MEN OF THE CITY

    • Your general knowledge about belgaum (and its “leader”) seems to be very weak. Start reading newspapers daily, make some free time to watch local and national news.
Don’t just blame anyone without any knowledge. Leaders/Activist be it form any political party, MES, KRV, KNNP, Industrial association, Traders Association, students union they all are doing their bit.

  14. I was was listening a lot of bad things about A B Patil like corruption, Gundaism and specially with the land grabbing. When all this was coming up and spoken about. The bundh in Belgaum was bound to happen. Some how a feel people are right in a way in showing their power. All the MLA’s, MLC’s and MP’s should learn a lot from this and be right in their duties. It should have been more peaceful instead of pelting stones on some of the shops and buses.

  15. The method of protest could have been different. Just for a MLA’s misbehaviour why should the entire city be closed? There are many families that are dependent of Belgaum for their daily bread- the vegetable sellers, daily wage workers etc. I think they are the only ones who get impacted by such demonstrations.

      • Like- letter with all participants’ signatures, blockading his official residence, a silent protest march, not inviting him to any functions or not attending any functions in which he participates until he mends his ways etc. But calling for bundh and hurting innocent and less privileged people is not acceptable.

        • theoretically these are good options but with little or no result. DC Office is already full with memorandums & agitations/rallies.

There is lot of disturbance in political and administrative arena that silent protest don’t get HEARD at concern authority. . one need to be bit LOUD to get yourself heard and resolved. (i hope you understand the rationale)

As far as silent march & candle march, they have become a “fashion statement”. Agreed, there gona be inconvience to public; but its order of time.

Abhay Patil have to be prosecuted maximum under the law & act, he seems to be big rowdy, having major FIR’s lodged against him, government cannot keep such criminals in the position…ruling belgaum. Please read news through allaboutbelgaum.com & local news papers. Lot more to speak about his crime..stories..
