I came to your Belagavi city because some years ago my ancestors inhabited this land. They lead their life without fear. But soon your race started to grow exponentially and started cutting down trees. Cutting down forest cover for your greed.
Your urbanization took away my land. Your roads kill my friends every day. Your development activities cause the destruction of my habitat. Your hunting of herbivores takes away my food. The vast expanse of forest is cut and you grow your food did you ever think about me and my race?
You, humans, have encroached on my land, my forests, my hills. Did we set up a cage to catch humans? Did we attack you, humans? Do we trouble you?
I’m watching you, humans, for several days I just came in for a new home. I watch you every day when you come for a walk each day. But I never attacked you. Your children come to the golf course. Your old come to the golf course but I did not harm them.
Every morning and evening humans would come to the golf course even I would enjoy watching them laugh, walk and talk.
I see you from the woods each day but you are not my food. I know you don’t like me. I know I’m not learned. I know you think that ferocious. You think I have come here to kill. No one loves me here. No one wants near the city. I don’t have any friends here. Some of you may like me but I don’t know who is praying for my well-being. Some of you may be thinking I should be killed. I m alone. I’m confused. Even I want to go back home. Even I want to live. The jungle is my home but I had come to request you to stop destroying my home.
Promise me you will take me back to my home and release me in the wild. When you release me I shall narrate to my friends that humanity is still alive in humans.
Can we be friends?
