The Sardars ground belongs to the Education department and a resolution was passed to the effect that only sports activities can be held on the ground.
The City Corporation utilised over 1 crore from the Special CM’s 100 crore fund to build a stadium and seating at the ground.
Now the City corporation is spending in lakhs to set up the office of Political Secretary to the CM of Karnataka, Shri Shankargowda Patil.
The work on the office has already been commenced by the City Corporation in the stadium built.
The Political Secretary to the CM of Karnataka who hails from Belagavi definitely needs an office but why is that the Corporation found this place alone which is reserved for sports activities.
It has so many complexes in which a few shops are lying vacant they could have been put to good use with such an office.
