Disappointing railway budget

Photo of author

Apart from the announcement of Hubli – Mumbai Express (Weekly) Via Miraj, Pune there is nothing for the people of Belgaum in the railway budget presented by the minister Pavan kumar Bansal today in parliament.

There was no mention of the work of the Belgaum-Dharwad rail line. A weekly train to Mumbai has been announced which is again a huge disappointment as many expected a daily one.

  1. I would like to mention that the Yeshwantpur Sampark kranti Express to New-Delhi is extended upto chandigarh. It means that there is a direct train from Belgaum -Chandigarh ,two days a week.

      • The Budget mentioned about the 12629/12630 Sampark Kranti Express and not the 12649. The 12629/12630 does go via Belgaum.
The budget mentions that the frequency of this train will increase from 2 days to 4 days and on 2 days it will go onwards upto Chandigarh from Nizamuddin.

So Belgaum will have a connectivity to Chandigarh now.

  3. What belgaum has got in this rail budget is in question? but at the same time what the MP’s representing belgaum have proposed & how they have followed it up with concerned department, these things have to be raised in the upper house in Delhi. Not even once we have seen our MP’s raising their question anytime.

    • Our MLA and MP’s are very busy in KITE show, Cricket tornaments, running business though Education trust’s etc. They don’t have time now. They will appear only during election time with false promises and begg for the valuable votes. In last 5 years they done nothing which people appriciate thier work. When Prallad Joshi and kakasaheb Patil can do then why can’t Belgaum’s IDIOT representatives????????????????
