The first session of the Shaping Futures Project was held at KLE Societys Independent PU College, Jakkeri Hond, Tilakwadi, Belagavi on 30th August 2015. Students and parents from various schools participated.
Shaping Futures is a project that aims at designing a comprehensive, logical and elaborate system of career counseling/career choice. The Project was initiated by Sameer Majli, Training & Development Officer, KLE Society, Belagavi as part of an online course with Stanford University. The project collaborators are representatives from four different countries.
Parents from Belagavi whose children are studying in Std 8th to 12th are invited to be part of this free counseling and training program which is a series of 20 to 25 sessions. The sessions are conducted for free and are open to local parents/guardians. The first 100 families who register will be enrolled. At a later stage it is proposed to execute an online version of the initiative.
The Project will also raise funds to support education of the needy and provide them career guidance.
The Project execution team includes Career Consultant and Trainer Mr. Sameer Majli and his team of students along with Miss Sucheta Rao, Career Evangelist, Letscorp, Bengaluru.
