Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), in association with Intel Corporation, has announced its plans to revise its curriculum for undergraduate engineering courses to include multicore programming. The revision aims at integrating parallel programming at the undergraduate level to prepare future software developers to write codes on emerging technologies.

The Intel-VTU multicore curriculum revision initiative is a tailor-made programme developed with inputs from the Indian Institute of Scien-ces (IISc), Intel and senior faculty members from VTU in the area of multicore technology. It aims at encouraging faculty from the university’s affiliated colleges to participate in the course and the lab development in an open source model.
