Gulmohar Belgaum Artists’ Group to launch graffiti project



City-based Gulmohar Belgaum Artists’ Group, a city-based group of artists, is getting ready to set up on an ambitious project of a mega graffiti in Belagavi city this year.


Noted ball pen point painter Shirish Deshpande who is also the secretary said, “We are planning to create a big iconic painting which can become a popular selfie wall.”

Currently, the group is looking at the options where such a project could be executed and would turn into a tourist attraction as well. The group is seeking suggestions for such a location as well.

The group has been engaged in promoting arts and artists and had held exhibitions of their creations and money raised was used for charity including flood relief.

Graffiti is writing or drawings made on a wall or other surface, usually as a form of artistic expression, without permission and within public view.
