In a meeting held with the various industrialists at the Foundry cluster, MoS Suresh Angadi assured the industrialists that they would be allowed to operate once the lockdown was over as per the guidelines issued by the Central & State Government. The Minister added he would look into the concerns of the industry/ Small scale enterprises and the District Administration would try and do its best to allow Industries to operate.

The Authorities promised to write to the government highlighting two clusters that contribute the majority of cases as such some relaxations should be given instead of the red zone. However, Transportation of workers is a major concern which was also debated upon.

They want the industry to hire buses of NWKRTC which they offered at a discounted price but industry people feel that is not feasible because of the staggered nature of workers.

foundryThe industry, however, wants them to allow two-wheelers single person riding with passes clearly indicating the routes.

The administration promised to set up a nodal office at DIC to facilitate the issuance of permissions and passes. The industry has committed to follow all the regulations and SOP set up by MHA.

Abhay Patil & Anil Benake MLAs, BUDA Chairman Gullappa Hosamani, District Corona Nodal Officer Rajendra Cholan, D.C. Dr.S B Bommanhalli, Z.P. CEO Dr.Rajendra K.V., S.P. Laxman Nimbargi, Police Commissioner B.S.Lokeshkumar & other Officials attended the meet.
