27 persons had faked documents saying that they are the displaced persons in the Malaprabha project. These persons were allotted plots at Maala Maruthi Layout and were allotted sites on February, this year. As soon as the matter came to the notice of officials of City Corporation, land allotments were canceled. Now, criminal cases have been filed at Mal
Maruti police station.
The documents were fabricated in the name Special Land Acquisition Officer, Malaprabha Project, Dharwad, and Secretary, Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka and had distributed plots in MalMaruti. About 27 plots are in question.
But when the documents were received by the corporation and during the correspondence with the Urban Development Department, the department stated that they had not alloted any such plots.
Special Deputy Commissioner is now inquiring the matter.
Good to know that authorities are more vigilant and took action else it would have been another case of Adharsh scam or nodia builder issue.
