Other side of the photo

Photo of author

rpdlampsThis photo of RPD College road just after the Uday Bhavan Canteen taken early morning by Manish Khapare gives a beautiful look of development and also with it the manner in which it is done.

Even the covers of the lamp post are not yet removed but still one lamp pole has just its balance it seems.

The other part of the story is the photographer had to actually clean a lot of dirty stuff lying on the pavement there before he could take this picture.

Manish told this blog, “ I cleaned the pavement before taking the photo, there was gutkha, plastc, chips, condoms, sanitary pads all lying on the pavement. I wanted to capture the angle and hence had to clean the this stuff so that the photo appears beautiful. Cigarette buds, beer bottles, liquor bottles are also lying on the sides.”

  3. The picture gives us a beautiful example of how nicely the development work is done. This area is said to be populated by well educated people. You say that the surrounding area was littered with rejected items, when will the people of Belgaum learn to keep their city clean?

  4. Excellent photography & excellent developmental activities after the taking overall charge of the RPD/GSS & the other swiftly grown Institutions of higher learning ,by Shree R Shanbhag & his new team of G C members . From far off land I was very very glad to view my Karma Bhoomi’s fantastic development God Bless this Great S K E Society’s efforts to raise the Status & Standards .
But few lines by the Photographer brought tears & pray the enlightened Studenta of 21St Century & the Visitors to see that this campus be treated as a Temple & sacred .So its the responsibility of all to catch ho;dof the offenders by the Voluntary forces NCC & NSS Volunteers to enforce cleanlyness & thorough discipline in the Campus. The Authorities should not hesitate to punish the offenders by omposing fines –Rs 50 to Rs 100 for those who are found ondulging in very very indecent & vulgur disposal of litters all over. Jan Lajja Nasali taree Mana Lajja havee.
