PIL to be filed against Private bus operators

After the every time loot of the commuters who travel by bus during the festival and holiday season are looted by charging exorbitantly like a regular ticket of Rs.500 is charged at Rs.1500 during those three or four days. Advocate Asim Sarode will be filing a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) in High Court regarding the LOOT carried out by private bus travels during festivals.
Citizens are requested to give them the tickets for which you have paid higher than the actual rates. Send the original tickets along with your name, address and phone number to: Sahyog trust, flat no 1, Prathamesh C H S lane no 5, Prabhat road Pune 4.   1. Its a good move. In fact I was thinking about the same. Why is there no cap for the rates charged? Just the way we have TRAI for telecom. We should have a body to monitor the transport services the quality and the rates charged.

  2. The best and time tested way is for all of us to boycott the private organization buses (with the exception of Pai and PVG), and travel by KSRTC. We have good sleeper buses and decent volvos for that purpose. There seems to be no other way to drive sense into these thick skinned private operators. I wish the advocate all the best to succeed in this case.

  3. For this there is one solution if Govt can sincerely work on the Dharwad – Belgaum direct Railway line. That project is delaying by such private transport operators for their own profits.
