As per sources from the health department the primary contacts of P974 have tested negative which is a great relief to everyone.
On May 14 P974 a pregnant woman who had returned from Mumbai had tested positive and 10 primary contacts were quarantined.
Their swab samples were taken after 12 days and now as per the sources, the results of all primary contacts is negative.
Currently, Sadashiv Nagar is the only Containment zone. Azad Galli, Camp, Yellur, Peeranwadi all have been denotified as containment zones.
She was tested positive while she was residing at her home hence the health department was quite worried about the spread.
A case was also filed on her husband, a driver for illegal entry into the state.
This is a sigh of relief to everyone in the city as it was feared that many who had come in contact could test positive.
The patient herself could be discharged soon if she tests negative in the days to come and if she does so the Containment zone could also be denotified.
