Sambhaji Bhide guruji on Friday got bail from a local court in Belagavi in a case filed against him for allegedly making a statement related to the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute at a public event in Belagavi during the 2018 assembly elections in Karnataka.
Sambhaji Bhide was personally present for today’s hearing.
The court in Belagavi had issued a warrant against Sangli-based Shiv Pratishthan leader Sambhaji Bhide for alleged breach of the Model Code of Conduct during the last assembly elections.
A Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court, who was hearing the case, had issued summons to Bhide twice before. However, as he failed to appear, the court issued a warrant against him.
Now the court has granted him bail in the same.
