Skaters skate for 96 hours and still counting

UNIQUE SUPPORT BY BELGAUM SKATERS TO ROLL ON THE WHEELS “ROUND THE CLOCK”

To support Anna Hazare’s Satyagraha for corruption free India and Janlokapal Bill, the skaters of Belgaum Roller Skating Academy are rolling faster on the 4th consecutive day here at Rotary Corporation Sports Academy’s Skating Rink. This Skating Relay which has started on 20th of this month from 12 noon. The skaters are skating by holding India’s Flag in Relay form Day Night. The said relay will be continued till Anna Hazare ends his strike.

The features of this skating relay till 4th day.

250 skaters participated so far during the last 96 hours.

More than 1500 kilometers of distance covered.

The size of the Skating Rink is 45 meters, 34000 Rounds completed.

Well known musician from Belgaum Mr Santosh Gurav and his group supported by singing patriotic songs to encourage the Skaters.

The students from JNMC, GIT and KLE have joined everyday by sitting on the skating rink to support the strike. Overwhelming response by the citizens of Belgaum, visiting Day and Night to the Rink.

The Karnataka Law Society took out a rally from Bogarves to DC office and all students from its schools/Colleges participated.

The jail inmates went on fast as they denied the breakfast saying they must get to call their families or they wont eat and they said they were inspired from Anna’s fast and supported him. At last their demands were met.
