One person died on Mandoli road on Friday night at around 11.15 pm as he slipped and fell on the open iron bars out for the gutter. The deceased has been identified as Daulat Davale ages 51 who was returning from work and was going to his home at 6th cross Dwarka nagar on his cycle. He supposedly slipped and fell down in the gutter where the iron rods entered his body. He was working in Prakash theater for many years and was returning home after work. This is not a one-off case but this time it was a fatal accident where one innocent life has been lost due to the negligence of the smart city officials. The family members must file a case under IPC 304 A - Causing death by negligence.—Whoever causes the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both. For over 2 years the said road is under construction and is one of the worst roads in town with open gutters, open bars no barricading or any signs of caution or danger. With no street lights as well it is a ride to hell in the night and exactly this has claimed one life.
