Stay on toll collection by Cantonment on petitioners vehicles only

Photo of author

The honorable High court has granted an interim stay regarding toll collection by cantonment board in WP No.61928 to 61932/2012 on the Petitioners vehicles only.

The numbers of the vehicles of the petitioners have been given to the board and no toll would be collected from these vehicles.  Within this two weeks the Cantonment board has to file their objections in writing.

The Petitioners include private bus operators, maxi cab owners and others.

So this means this is not a blanket ban on the collection of the toll and only those FEW vehicles will not be tolled.

  1. Dear Uday Sir,

    Good Morning,

Y’day, i read ur above post, but to my surprise while coming to office this morning (22-03-2012), i saw the boys collecting the Toll at Pop-Inn. I think the Stay Order is only on papers. They are not following the same and nobody is there to stop them.

    Regards,
