Belagavi district administration had identified five couples from Indonesia in Belagavi and quarantined them, after it was found that they had attended the Tablighi Jamaat Markaz in New Delhi between March 10 and 13.

Now have been booked by the police for violating visa regulations.

They arrived in Belagavi on March 16. They have preached at a mosque in Auto Nagar and have not moved around.

Mal Maruti Police have filed an FIR against these foreign nationals for violating the VISA norms.

All the ten had arrived in India allegedly securing tourist visas despite their purpose of the visit being religious.

The police have booked all foreigners for visa violations under provisions of the Foreigners Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

An MHA official said, “The foreign nationals who come on tourist visas and end up attending religious events violate the visa conditions and the government will have no option but to blacklist them.”

Strict actions should be taken against such people else
All people like this will take India, indian people and law for granted. Hope the police don’t get bribed to release them.
