On the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi tomorrow Sunday, a grand procession has been organized. For this, tomorrow is Sunday, the traffic has been diverted in the city from 8 am on October 9.
The procession will start from Deshpande Petrol Pump, Fort Road, Pimpalkatta. From there, the procession will pass through Mujawar Khoot, Central Bus Station, RTO Circle, Collector’s Office, Kittur Rani Channamma Circle, College Road, Yande Khoot, Dharamveer Sambhaji Maharaj Circle, Khanapur Road Camp Fish Market and end at Asad Khan Dargah near Globe Talkies. In order for the procession to take place smoothly, the traffic route on the main roads of the city has been changed as follows from 8 am to evening on Sunday.
All motorists and passengers going to Goa from Kolhapur, Sankeshwar, Chikkodi will turn via Bauxite Road Hindalga Forest Naka, Argan Talav, Gandhi Circle, Shaurya Chowk (Military Hospital Circle) Kendriya Vidyalaya no. 2, Sharqat Park, St. Paul’s High School, Military Mahadev Mandir from the rear side via Congress Road and then Khanapur Road.
All motorists and passengers traveling from Goa, Khanapur towards National Highway towards Sankeshwar, Chikkodi, Kolhapur should take 3rd Railway Gate, Congress Road, Military Mahadev Mandir from behind St. Paul’s High School, Sharqat Park, Kendriya Vidyalaya no. 2, Shaurya Chowk, Gandhi Circle, Ganesh Mandir via Hindalga Road to Double Road and beyond that to National Highway via Bauxite Road.
All the drivers and passengers going from Goa Khanapur to Gokak, Yergatti, Dharwad should avoid 3rd Railway Gate, Angol Naka, RPD Circle, Goaves Circle,
Mahatma Phule Road, Shahapur Bank of India from New Road to Old P. B. Road, Yeddyurappa Marg should proceed from National Highway near Alarwad Bridge.
