Unauthorized buildings owners to get respite

15,967 buildings and 10,356 sites built on 1,085 acres of land are unauthorized in Belgaum taluka have been identified by the special task force of the villages coming within 10-km radius of Belgaum city.

Under the Karnataka Land Revenue Act (1964) under Section 192 (A), and cognizable offense under Section 191 (D) for the construction illegal and unauthorized buildings constructed on agricultural land in the city.

In most cases the agricultural land was not converted into non agricultural land and even the land purchases agreements have been done on stamp papers.

District minister Umesh Katti said that, we should find ways of regularizing these unauthorized buildings. A penalty could be imposed for the legalization.

This is ridicules to say that till date no one highlight the issue .is it true or Publicity stunt and how it will regularize .its matter of 15,967 buildings and 10,356 sites built on 1,085 acres cant believe this happening in belgaum . know one from ministry entertain and resolve the issue.instead of penalty option.people from middle class will suffer for penalty……take example of metro city's how they manage.at any condition our belgaum should get clean chit and all people should live peacefully.
