Water level up in Rakaskop reservoir

Thanks to the heavy rains in the past two days, the water level in Rakaskop reservoir has reached 2465.7 feet which is just about 10 feet short of it full capacity. About 800+mm of rainfall has been recorded in the catchment area in this monsoon. 

Khanapur Taluka has received the highest rainfall uptill now and on Friday received 24mm of rainfall. Belgaum received about 19mm of rainfall.

  1. That’s very good news and hope it fills further and people of belgaum receiving water through rakaskop are at peace for at least next one year or till next rains.
