Incessant downpour during Diwali

There has been some incessant downpour since last night and each one has been taken by surprise. The rain downpour is quite heavy.

The current rain is being caused due to the upper air cyclonic circulation, which is over Rayalaseema and adjoining areas of north Tamilnadu, which now lies over southeast Arabian Sea off Karnataka & Kerala coast in lower levels.

The low pressure area over south Andaman Sea persists as a well marked low pressure area. The system is likely to concentrate into a depression over the same area within next 24 hours. It may intensify further into a cyclonic storm and move west-northwestward towards north Tamilnadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts. Increase in rainfall activity over south peninsular India.

The rain played a spoil sport with the Diwali Shoppers.
