When an emotion finds its thoughts and the thoughts find the words, poetry emerged


With an intention to nurture art and creativity, a Bengaluru based production house – United India Films has come down to the city with its initiative of ROSTRUM DIARIES under their banner.

A venture to hunt the talent from every potential nook of Tier 2 cities like Belagavi and represent this potentially blessed and talented City to a higher level. The United India Film’s ROSTRUM DIARIES has been making some noise around by organizing an open mic forum for poetry & storytelling sessions This March 2020 United India Films marks its 10th anniversary and the startup idea was originally curated in Belagavi by Abhishek Bendigeri, a belgaumite in the late 2000s.


The production house has bagged many national and international awards. It’s recent production B-Tweets which was shot at Lokmanya Granthalaya earlier in 2015 bagged the best film at Barcelona International Film festival, Spain, Ranked amongst the top 20 films at Los Angeles International Film festival, U.S.A and many other national and international festivals. Rostrum Diaries a stage where art finds its way.

Rostrum community aims to bring all the artists, storytellers and poets of Belagavi together and mark Belagavi on the big maps of the contemporary world of creativity. The idea of Rostrum Diaries was curated in the year 2018 by two techies – Abhishek Bendigeri and Parinita Alagudekar.

The team conducted the Season 8 of Poetry & Story Telling Session on January 25th at Le – Espresso Café, Belagavi. The event was open for all languages with age 16 and above.

A total of 30 Participants participated and recited their poetries & Story Telling in English, Hindi, Kannada & Marathi languages respectively. Season 8 on Jan 25th highlighted the successful completion of 2 years for this venture.

ROSTRUMThe event was charmed by the supportive presence of Ex MLA, Shri. Sanjay Patil. The event was presided over by Dr. Madhav Prabhu, Associate Professor JNMC and Mrs. Yogita Patil, Principal Bhartesh English Medium School as judges of the event.

Also, the event was graced with the special presence of Mr. Raghu (Manager – Sapna Book House), Mr. Kiran Nippanikar, Mr. Rajesh Desurkar, Mr. Akshay the Chef (Le Espresso Cafe) & Mrs.Swatee Jog.

The event was driven successfully by the team of Rostrum Diaries – Pramod Jadhav, Chinmay Arya, Sushant Patil, Namrata Purohit (Left Brain Art), Nehal Raikar, Pranav Adhyapak, Nikita Mastiholimath, Parinita Alagudekar & Abhishek Bendigeri. Band Performance by Piyush Majli & Pratik Karibhimagol, Omkar Shreyakar & Akshay Hosamani.

The event also had students from Bhartesh Global Business School as Interns namely – Asadulla Herekar, Gururaj Patil, Keerthi Joshi & Zulekha Tebhla.


The awards for Season 8 was bagged by Ms. Amruta Mathdhikari – 1st place, Mr. Adarsh Teli – 2nd Place. Special Recognition Awards were given to Ms.Unnati Kadam, Ms.Roshini Hundre, Mr.Anmol.Mittal. The Audience Choice Award was bagged by Mr. Jayadeep Rout and Online Voting Award was bagged by Ms.Kirthi Hulloli.
