Addressing a press conference senior general manager Deepak Tayal of BSNL Belagavi said that a proposal has been sent and upon approval we will provide wifi service at Rani Chennamma university campus, Deputy Commissioner’s office and also near Big Bazaar.
He said all 485 gram panchayats in the district through optical fibre cable is in progress under National Optical Fibre Network project.
The fibre to the home (FTTH) facility is being extended to the various areas in Belagavi city. The service already exists in Jadhav Nagar (Embassy Park and Golf Link), Queens Court, One City Homes in Shashtri Nagar, Sanskrit Palm, Shiriti Apartment in Mandoli Road, Goaves Complex, Samadevi Galli, DC Compound and further it is planned to provide facility to all apartments in and around city.
