Diwali is the time of lighting lamps and spreading the light of happiness. But we all do this with our own relatives and friends, but how about spreading the same amongst the not so privileged ones to the likes of people in the old age homes, Orphanages, Blind schools and so on.
Many people keep doing this all the year round on someones birthday or so but on Diwali even the not so privileged ones can be made happy by a small act of yours.
Take for example “Aadhar” the home for the homeless children which has 29 inmates at Kanbargi is celebrating Diwali by performing Puja and other programs and each child is being given new pair of clothes. A few noted people from the society will attend the function.
Similar events have been planned by other NGO’s as well.
Students can come together and spend some of their pocket money collectively and make someones life more happier that day.
