The 15th NATIONAL PARALYMPIC SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 are been hosted by Swimmers’ Club Belgaum and Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum on behalf of the Paralympic Swimming Association of Karnataka (PSAK) which is affiliated to Paralympic Swimming Federation of India (PSFI) and Paralympic Committee of India (PCI).
The Championships will be held on the 28th and 29th of November 2015 at the new International Swimming Facility, SUVARNA JNMC, Swimming Pool.
This will be the very first time that such a grand event will be held in the city of Belagavi.
Around 450 swimmers from 17 different states have confirmed their participation for this event. As mentioned 450 swimmers will participates in 3 age groups which will be further split into 12 different sub categories further segregated at boys & girls, men & women. There will be in all 9 individual events and 2 relay events for all the age groups. Swimmers will start arriving for preparation and practice from the 26th of November 2015. Swimmers will have to report to the venue on the 27th of November along with their teams and managers.
Swimmers’ Club Belgaum and Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum have made relevant transport arrangements locally for pick up and drop from venue to the places of accommodation. We will be providing all the participants and managers with 4 days accommodation and four times meals (Breakfast / Lunch / High Tea / Dinner) for the 3 days of tournaments. We have made stay accommodations for the swimmers in four different places based on the priority of their physical ability.
Around 150 technical officials and volunteers will be a part of this event who will help in smooth functioning of the championships in the course of 3 days.
This event is supported by KLE Society, Hindalco Industries ltd Belgaum, Karnataka Housing Board (Jakkeri Honda), Maratha Mandal Institutes, Mr. S R Sindia, Karnataka Abresives Ltd, Telsang Travels, Dr. S R Ramanagoudar , Mr. Nitin Khot & Family, Mr. Gopalrao Kukdolkar, Jolle Udhyog Samuha – Examba , Mr. Vikram Joshi & Family.
This event will also be a part of the grand Centenary Celebrations of KLE Society which marks the 100 years of formation of the KLE society.
This is a unique event where top paralympic Swimmers will participate from various states who have not only represented their state but also their country at various International paralympic games.
The Suvarna JNMC swimming pool is already been festooned in a very grand way by erecting shamiya and lighting the entire premises by M/s Manolkar & Co. The catering arrangements for the 4 days of tournament have been arranged by Anand caterers.
All the concerned members , coaches, well wishers and supporters of Swimmers Club Belgaum and Aquarius Swim Club Belgaum are working hard to make this event a grand success.
