The selection trials for Karnataka Premier League franchisee team Belagavi Panthers was held in the catchment area of Belagavi. Total of 60 players from in and around Belgaum had participated in the selection trials. The trials were held at KSCA Stadium Auto nagar Belgaum.
30 players were selected for the second round and final 6 players will be announced later. The selected 6 players will participate in the 10 days camp to be held at Bangalore and 2 players will be selected in the final team of Belagavi Panthers.
Belagavi Panthers CEO Joseph Hoover, Ex Ranji Player Milind Chavan, Tahir Saraf, Ram Patil, Mukund Gouda and Vijay were the selectors for the trials. Batting, Bowling and wicket Keeping aspects were judged by the Selectors of the participating players.
CEO Joseph Hoover said that the list of 6 players will be announced later after consulting the team Captain R VinayKumar and team Coach.
