Kite festival begins from 16 January

Starting January 16, for two days the skies of Belgaum will be filled with colorful kites, as the first international kite festival will be organised in the city. This will be a two day event.

There are two venues for this kite festival.

Day time (from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) will organised at the ground on Savgaon Road near Nanawadi.

At night (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.), the event will be organised at fort lake in the heart of the city.01

Abhay Kumar Patil, MLA is the sole sponsor of this entire event.

Around 10,000 and 15,000 tourists from Goa, Maharashtra and from across Karnataka are expected to participate in the festival.

15 national and 8 international teams would take part in the event.
