The Belgaum District Small Scale Industries Association (BDSSIA), in association with the Belgaum Material Testing Centre (BMTC), organised the prestigious BDSSIA MSME Awards 2026 at the Belgaum Foundry Cluster on Thursday. The event celebrated five outstanding enterprises for their significant contribution to Belagaviโs industrial growth press release.
MSME Award Winners 2026
Five enterprises were recognised across different categories:
- Sukshma Laghu Udyami Award โ Pyrotech Engineers, Belagavi (Recognition by Servo Controls โ Deepak Dhadoti)
- Naari Shakti Award โ Saish Multi Products Packaging (In honour of Asha Danawade)

Strong Message for MSMEs
BDSSIA President Nitin Lengade, in his presidential address, highlighted the growing contribution of MSMEs to the national GDP and urged entrepreneurs to embrace Artificial Intelligence and digital marketplaces to remain competitive globally.
Chief Guest R.V. Gumaste spoke about inflation and currency volatility, stressing that industries must aim to double income every five years to stay ahead. He identified the defence sector as a major opportunity for local manufacturers.
Ram Bhandare raised concerns about regulatory hurdles faced by MSMEs and called for simplified processes. Chandrashekhar Dolli shared his journey of scaling a business from humble beginnings in Hubballi to becoming a โน100-crore income tax contributor. Satyanarayan Bhat assured that government departments are working towards streamlining industrial processes and encouraged youth to continue family business legacies.
The programme was introduced by Satish Nerlekar, with guest introductions by Sandeep Bagewadi. It was compered by Vaibhav Yadav and Monica Bagewadi, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Hon. Joint Secretary Basavaraj Rampure
