Belagavi’s most loved and consistently full train, the 20654 Belagavi–KSR Bengaluru Daily Express, has once again undergone a major timetable revision. The latest change, effective January 1, 2026, brings a complete shift in the departure time from Belagavi, while the arrival time at Bengaluru remains unchanged.

This overnight express is a lifeline for daily commuters, business travellers, students, and professionals, and is known for running at near 100% occupancy throughout the year.

Under the existing schedule, the train departed Belagavi at 9:15 pm and was supposed to reach KSR Bengaluru at 6:50 am the next morning.

New Timetable (Effective January 1, 2026)
As per the revised schedule:
Departure from Belagavi: 10:00 pm (instead of 9:15 pm)
Arrival at KSR Bengaluru: 7:30 am (unchanged)
The revised timings will apply to all days of operation.

  1. It is very inconvenient time to reach office in time . Reaching 7:30am means reaching around 8:00 am approx and then to reach home and back to office is not convenient. All changes for worse are done for belgavi only.

  2. Sir
This type of attitude is being repeated time and again, and injustice is consistently meted out to the people of Belagavi.
Despite new timings being announced very recently—and even before their implementation from 1st January 2026—our designated reaching timings at Bengaluru have once again been taken over by another service. This clearly reflects a serious lapse in fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Such arbitrary and unilateral changes amount to a clear injustice to Belagavi passengers, who have already been facing long-standing neglect. Decisions of this nature, taken without consultation or justification, undermine trust and raise serious concerns about bias and mismanagement.
Those responsible for permitting or executing this change must be identified, held accountable, and directed to provide an immediate and satisfactory explanation. We also demand that the originally announced timings for Belagavi be restored without further delay.
We urge the concerned authorities to treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and ensure that Belagavi is not repeatedly disadvantaged through unfair administrative decisions.

  3. Very good decision, belgaum did not have a late night train and this will be the first one. I travel regularly on this train on weekends but preferred bus during week days as the current schedule wasn’t convenient for me.

  4. First of all with current timings only the train didn’t reach Bangalore KSR Station on time. And if the newly proposed time is 7.30AM which is definitely inconvenient with current Bangalore traffic.

  5. This is the best timing change ever, one more thing they can do is to make this train exclusively for belgaumites by as there are ample amount of trains for Hubli to Bangalore.

  6. Now that train timings are changed to 10pm, which is better timing.. But it would have been even better if they changed the starting point for this train from Ugar or Ghatprabha.. so the rest of the Belagavi dist can also use the facility.. They should know, Belagavi train is not only for Belagavi city…
