A large number of devotees from Karnataka have traveled to the ongoing Kumbh Mela. However, on the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya, a stampede occurred, leading to injuries among several pilgrims, including some from Belagavi.
Four people from Belagavi, including two women, sustained injuries in the incident. Among them were Kanchan Koparde, a resident of Vadgaon, and Sarojini. Additionally, two young girls, Megha and Jyoti, were also injured.
Local doctors promptly provided medical assistance to the injured, ensuring they received necessary treatment.
