Belagavi industrialists presented their concerns to MP Shettar

The Belgaum Chamber of Commerce and Industries along with Belgaum District small Scale Industries Association, Laghu Udyog Bharati-Karnataka (Belagavi Unit), Belgaum Foundry Cluster, BeTCA, IIF & other Trade & Industrial fraternity had a Joint Interaction meeting with newly elected Member of Parliament from Belagavi Constituency Shri Jagdish Shettar & Belagavi South Constituency MLA Shri Abhay Patil at Belgaum Foundry Cluster, Belagavi.

Following are the Key issues from Belagavi Trade & Industry we proposed

1. Railway Connectivity –

a. Intercity from Belagavi to Pune & Bangalore.

b. Vande Bharat Bangalore to Dharwad to be extended to Belagavi.

c. Vande Bharat Pune to Belgaum.

d. Belgaum – Hubli (Via Kittur) Parallel Rail Line through Highway.

e. Railway Overbridges at the first gate, Second Gate & fourth gate already sanctioned work to to be started, and also completion of work of 3rd Railway Gate.

f. Direct Train to start from Belagavi to Rajasthan via Gujarat & Maharashtra.

g. New Rail Line from Kolhapur to Dharwad via Nippani.

2. Flight connectivity from Belgaum to be resumed which are discontinued/shifted to Hubbali like –

Indore, Kolkata, Chennai, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Kishangarh, Jodhpur

3. Single Window Meetings to be conducted monthly basis to resolve the issues of Industries.

4. Harassment by Government officials to the traders & Industries i.e. GST, Labour Department, Karnataka Pollution Control Board.

5. KSPCB does not follow the Central Government Classification of MSMEs and follow their own categorization which shows full ignorance of nationwide classification and malice to trouble the MSMEs in Karnataka

6. Land to be provided for Local / Existing Industries with Subsidies Rates.

7. Ease of Acquiring Land and conversion to Industry use.

8. Setting up of ESI Hospital, ESIC Divisional office, EPFO Regional office and MSME Skill Development Centre at Belagavi District.

9. Ease of loans to Traders from Nationalised Banks for Central Govt. Schemes

10. Request to Hon’ble Member of the Parliament to conduct Quarterly one to one meeting in Belagavi to address the grievances of Trade & Industry.

11. All the Elected Representatives i.e. MP of Rajaya Sabha & Lok Shabha, MLAs of Belagavi North, South & Rural along with Concerned officials to have a Joint meeting for Development of Belagavi District.

12. Create a Traders Cluster on the Outskirts of City with Coordination of MLA

13. Cooperation of Central Agencies

14. MSME License Should be a Valid to do Business rather than Corporation Trade License.

For this Jagdish Shettar promised that he will fulfill all the Demand of Trade & industrial Fraternity and also for New Industrial Estate he will speak with Industry Minister of GoK.

    I see reasonable and doable demand list by industry representatives
    We need to make key business and industry hub keeping environment in mind
    We also need to look at BMC and BUDA effective management and development to keep city and extensions in good condition
    Development of parks and thre upkeep and people partnership to keep city and surrounding clean
    Development of existing tourism spots
    Efforts are required to ensure sustainable growth and development of city
    Need to bring more IT campus and skill development institutions

  2. The Belgavi chambers of commerce and industry have demanded very good and development projects demand from the newly elected Hon.MP Shri Jagdish Shetter and the Hon. MLA Shri Abhay Patil sir.My sincere request to all the Industrialists and Traders to make effective follow up to get all the demands which are very effective in development of this beautiful Belgavi.
