Starting June 1, all Sub-Registrar offices across Belagavi district will operate even on Weekends, as per a new directive from the Department of Registration and Stamps. The initiative aims to improve public convenience and clear backlogs.
According to Belagavi District Registrar Mahantesh P. and Deputy Registrar Karibasavanagouda P., Sub-Registrar offices will remain open on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays on a rotational basis until December 28, 2025.

For example, the Belagavi North Sub-Registrar Office will remain open on June 14 (Second Saturday) and observe a compensatory holiday on June 17 (Tuesday). Similar rotational schedules have been planned for all Sub-Registrar offices under the district’s jurisdiction.

This move follows an order by the Commissioner of the Registration and Stamps Department, K.A. Dayananda, who approved the special weekend work schedule to address rising service demands.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of these additional working days. The updated schedule for each office is available through the Kaveri 2.0 software.
Sub-Registrar offices covered include:
Belagavi, Belagavi South, Mudalagi, Nippani, Bailhongal, Athani, Chikkodi, Sankeshwar, Kagawad, Gokak, Hukkeri, Khanapura, Sadalga, Kittur, Rayabhaga, Ramadurga, Murgod, and Savadatti.
For more details, citizens are advised to refer to the official schedule or visit their local sub-registrar office.
