The much-anticipated three-day Sadhana Samavesh—a major political gathering organized by the state Congress government to be held in Hosapete—will commence on May 19 and continue until May 21, drawing lakhs of attendees from across Karnataka.
In preparation for the large-scale event, around 2,000 buses have been requisitioned from various divisions of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), creating a significant reshuffle in public transportation. Of these, 450 buses will be deployed from the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), affecting services in key districts such as Belagavi, Dharwad, Karwar, and Bagalkot.
The Belagavi division alone will contribute 130 buses to the Samavesh, leading to an anticipated shortage of buses for regular commuters. Authorities have warned of inconvenience to daily passengers over the next three days and have urged the public to plan their travel accordingly.

Additionally, with large crowds expected and bus terminals likely to be overcrowded, passengers are advised to remain vigilant against pickpocketing and other petty crimes. Commuters are urged to safeguard their belongings and exercise extra caution during this period.
Transport officials have also asked the public to remain understanding, noting that the temporary reduction in bus services is essential for facilitating the safe and efficient transportation of attendees to the Sadhana Samavesh. Regular services are expected to resume normalcy post-May 21.
