District in-charge Minister Satish Jarakiholi instructed officials to commence and complete on time the works related to projects already sanctioned for the Belagavi district, including the National Highway, Ring Road, Solid Waste Management Unit, and Continuous Water Supply (24×7). The minister emphasized the importance of these projects in providing amenities to the public.

He discussed the progress of these key projects in a meeting with officials from various departments held at the Municipal Corporation office on Wednesday.

Local opposition has been a barrier for some projects. Minister Jarakiholi advised that in such cases, the locals should be persuaded. He instructed the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to ensure the continuation of works with police security if necessary. He noted that several projects have been stalled for years due to land acquisition issues and local opposition, hindering the provision of good facilities to the public.

He also stressed the importance of taking strict measures to control dengue and cholera, and directed the officials of the contractor organization to speed up the continuous water supply project. Additionally, Minister Jarakiholi instructed the Public Works Department officials to submit a copy of the revised plan for the Hudali flyover.
