The Forest Department has banned entry at all waterfalls in the western part of the Khanapur taluka, which is known for its tourist attractions. This decision has been made for safety reasons. Violators will face action. The forest department has issued such warnings.

This decision has been made due to the increasing number of accidents involving tourists in recent years. Local administrations have supported the forest department’s decision. The area’s waterfalls are situated in dense forests, including Kankumbi, Parwad, Chikhale, Chigule, Chapoli, and Maan. The forest department has prohibited entry at these waterfalls for safety reasons. This decision was made to prevent unfortunate accidents and protect tourists’ lives.

It is crucial for citizens who come to appreciate nature’s wonders to ensure that no harm comes to the wildlife or the forest itself. Unfortunately, there has been a significant uproar due to the dangerous journey and the increasing amount of garbage left behind in the forest area. These actions blatantly disregard the rules set by the forest department.

The decision to ban tourist entry was made in response to the rising number of young people visiting the waterfalls and experiencing minor or fatal accidents. Many of these youngsters attempt to swim in the waterfalls or lose their balance while taking selfies, resulting in tragic accidents and injuries.
