In a bid to accelerate the adoption of high-security registration number plates (HSRP) in vehicles statewide, Karnataka’s Minister Ramalingareddy has declared a three-month extension for the installation process. This move follows apprehensions regarding the sluggish pace of implementation compared to other states.
Taking proactive measures to tackle the delay in installing HSRP plates on vehicles across Karnataka, Minister Ramalingareddy announced a three-month extension to ensure comprehensive compliance. Addressing concerns over the state’s slow progress, the minister stated, “In contrast to the swifter processes observed in other states, Karnataka has faced setbacks in the implementation of HSRP plates.”
Despite the installation of HSRP plates in 18,32,787 vehicles, worries persist regarding the state’s sluggish implementation rate. Minister Ramalingareddy, responding to queries regarding the delay, underscored the urgency for prompt action.
