Our town Belagavi has been a great platform for art enthusiasts in various forms over the years. Even with the boom of digital media, many among us look forward to watching live action on stage. It was during one such event that we thought it would be great if we invited Artists & and Artists groups to Belagavi for the lovers of Stage Dramas & Music. For all such art enthusiasts at Belagavi, we are delighted to bring home the joy of experiencing this cultural celebration under the banner of “Venugram Academy of Performing Arts”, a not-for-profit initiative.

As a first step towards their endeavor, they are organizing two Marathi Sangeet Natak- “Sangeet Soubhadra (संगीत सौभद्र) and “Sanshay Kallol” (संशयकल्लोळ) on evenings of 10th & 11 February 2024 at the Kannada Bhavan, Opp Shaikh College Nehru Nagar Belagavi.

Marathi Sangeet Natak, known for its unique blend of prose and poetry accompanied by live music (Natyasangeet – नाट्यसंगीत) featuring a variety of instruments, creates an immersive atmosphere that resonates throughout the entire performance. Traditional Sangeet Natak promises a distinctive amalgamation of music and drama, providing the audience with a truly memorable experience where visual elements complement and enhance the impact of prose and music.
