Football fever is set to grip Belagavi as the Paulite Cup – Under-14 Interschool Football Tournament kicks off on July 16 at the St. Paul’s High School grounds. The week-long tournament promises to be a thrilling showcase of emerging football talent from across the city.
Jointly organised by Paulites of Belgaum Worldwide (PBW) and St. Paul’s High School, the tournament will feature over 24 top schools from Belagavi and surrounding areas. To promote grassroots football and instil sporting values, the event is expected to deliver high-energy action, teamwork, and spirited competition.
The inauguration will take place in the presence of school dignitaries, PBW members, coaches, parents, and students. Matches will be played daily, and the tournament will culminate in a grand finale with trophies, medals, and certificates being awarded to the winners and runners-up.

In addition, individual honours such as Best Goalkeeper, Most Promising Talent, and Best Player will be given — with the Best Player riding home not only with applause but also a brand-new bicycle.
More than just a contest, the Paulite Cup stands as a tribute to discipline, camaraderie, and fair play — values synonymous with the Paulite tradition.
Football fans and sports enthusiasts are encouraged to cheer on these young stars as they dribble, pass, and shoot their way to glory at one of the city’s most awaited school sports tournaments.
