Belagavi has long struggled with auto-rickshaws’ dominance, often criticized for overcharging and refusing rides. When Ola Cabs attempted to establish its presence in the city, it faced strong opposition from auto drivers, leading to its decline. Now, a new player has entered the scene—Rapido, India’s leading bike-taxi service. But will it fare any better? It has launched Parcel delivery services and could launch Bike taxi service aswell.
Rapido has officially launched its parcel services in Belagavi, offering a safe, convenient, and budget-friendly mode of transportation. Users can book through the Rapido mobile app, available on Android and iOS, by simply entering their pickup and drop-off locations. A Rapido captain (driver) will then arrive to take the parcel to their destination.

Currently, Rapido operates in limited parts of the city with a small fleet. However, the company plans to expand based on demand, gradually covering major residential areas, commercial hubs, and tourist spots. To ensure safety, all Rapido captains undergo background checks, training, and are provided with safety gear.
