A storm of complaints against L&T Company dominated Thursday’s water supply review meeting in Belagavi. Corporators raised serious concerns over irregular water supply, blocked wells, contaminated water, and delayed road restoration after pipeline work. In response, Mayor Mangesh Pawar directed officials to record and resolve all grievances within 15 days.
Corporators voiced strong dissatisfaction, demanding that the responsibility of water supply be shifted from L&T to the Water Supply Board. Many corporators criticized the poor water management, questioning whether the promise of 24-hour water supply was nothing more than a “daydream.”

Key issues highlighted included erratic water release schedules, supply gaps of 5 to 10 days, and notices sent to consumers to fill their taps despite no water availability. Additionally, corporators pointed out that a 200-meter water pipeline project had remained incomplete for nearly a year.
Officials acknowledged delays in road restoration after pipeline work and assured that all pending road repairs would be completed soon. With the Mayor’s strict deadline, residents now await swift action to resolve the ongoing water crisis.
