Shops and business establishments in Belagavi and 10 other cities will now be open until 1 AM, thanks to an exciting announcement made by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during the state budget presentation.
Effective immediately, business hours in Bengaluru and 10 other municipal corporations in the state have been extended into the night to promote commercial and business activities. The new regulations allow businesses to operate until 1:00 am, lifting previous trading restrictions.
In Belagavi, establishments currently close by 9:30 PM and hotels by 10:30 PM. However, with the new regulations, businesses will be able to stay open later into the night if the cops allow. Police personnel normally ensure that all hotels are shut by 11 PM, with officers patrolling on bikes starting from 10 PM.

These extended hours apply to municipal corporations including Ballari, Davangere, Hubballi-Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, and Vijayapura, in addition to Bengaluru. The goal of this move is to stimulate economic activity and create more opportunities for businesses within these metropolitan areas.
