The City Corporation of Belagavi has invited tenders for annual maintenance works across key sub-divisions of the city, focusing on road medians and footpath kerbstones.
- South Sub-Division:
- Annual Maintenance of Road Divider and Footpath Kerbstones – ₹33,56,614.80
- Annual Maintenance of Roads – ₹70,00,000
- Central Sub-Division:
- Annual Maintenance of Road Medians and Footpath Kerbstones – ₹45,70,000
Scope of Work:
The maintenance work will cover the following:
- Clearing and Grubbing: Removal of vegetation, bushes, shrubs, and saplings from road medians and footpath areas using weed cutters or minor equipment.
- Surface Preparation:
- Scraping off existing whitewash or color wash using steel brushes and sandpaper to achieve a smooth finish.
- Repairing scratches and preparing the surface for repainting.
- Smoke and Soot Cleaning: Additional cleaning of surfaces affected by smoke and soot using clear water prior to sanding and repainting.
- Painting Works:
- Application of two coats of synthetic enamel paint in all approved shades on new concrete and plastered surfaces after appropriate surface preparation, as per MoRTH (IRC – 803) guidelines.
These initiatives are part of the City Corporation’s ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance urban infrastructure and aesthetics across Belagavi.
