Football fever is set to grip Belagavi as the Paulite Cup – Under-14 Interschool Football Tournament kicked off on July 16 at the St. Paul’s High School (Turf)ground. The week-long tournament promises to be a thrilling showcase of emerging football talent from across the city.

Jointly organised by Paulites of Belgaum Worldwide (PBW) and St. Paul’s High School, the tournament will feature over 24 top schools from Belagavi and surrounding areas. To promote grassroots football and instil sporting values, the event is expected to deliver high-energy action, teamwork, and spirited competition.

????️ Match: Cantonment Board School vs. Gajananrao Bhatkande School

Cantonment Board School started Day 3 with a blistering 4–0 victory over Gajananrao Bhatkande School, delivering one of the most dominant performances of the tournament so far.
Wasim Sayyed opened the scoring as early as the 5th minute and later added another in the 28th minute, displaying clinical finishing.
Huzefa Makandar doubled the lead with a well-placed goal in the 24th minute.
Waheed Mulla completed the scoreline with a solid strike in the 31st minute.

With sharp coordination and relentless attack, Cantonment Board School comfortably moved forward in the tournament.

Marathi Vidyaniketan displayed sharp attacking play and solid defense to register a 2–0 win over KLS Public School.
